A dwelling means all buildings or structures or portions thereof that are on or appurtenant (Annexed or pertaining to some more important thing; accessory; incident; as, a right of way appurtenant to land or buildings) to a property, which is occupied in whole or in part as the home, residence or sleeping place, of one or more human beings, including child care facilities for children under six years of age, kindergartens and nursery schools.
